Yard Mastery's 7-0-20 Stress Blend (Canadian Blend) is an excellent fertilizer to apply to cool-season turf in summer to maintain vigorous green colour without surge growth.

Stress Blend contains 7% nitrogen, which will feed a stressed lawn but not encourage too much growth to stress it. A sick or worn-out lawn still needs feeding, just spoon feeding with a portion of slow-release nitrogen plus minors.

You will also find a stellar 20% potash (Potassium) in each bag! Potash is awesome for a stressed lawn as it helps with water uptake and retention. Think about when you're sick; you want to stay hydrated first and foremost, and it's the same for the lawn. When it's stressed, it must stay hydrated, and potash helps with that by keeping cells turgid (total of water).
Finally, Stress Blend contains a stack of micronutrients lawns need, including, Iron, Boron, Manganese, Zinc.

Included in the bag is a spike of Biochar.

Biochar is an excellent soil amending carbon source made from agricultural and forestry biomass. Produced under oxygen limiting conditions at temperatures between 350-700 degrees Celsius, this blend of Biochar contains 70%-80% of carbon contents which is stable for hundreds of thousands of years. When incorporated into the soil, Biochar and the products it is combined with, reduce soil compaction and provide habitat for soil microbes. The high cation exchange capacity (CEC) improves nutrient availability to plants and aids in water retention.
For cool-season turf, this is your go-to late spring and summer fertilizer, without trouble.

Application Information:
Stress Blend Fertilizer can be applied at any time during the growing season on the following grasses:
Cool Season Lawns - Kentucky Bluegrass, Turf Type Tall Fescue (all fescues), Ryegrass.

Coverage:
18 lb bag covers 557 square meters (6,000 square feet).

Application Details:
Apply at 3 lbs per 1,000 square feet of lawn area. Sweep excess off sidewalks and driveways to avoid staining and apply every 30-45 days.

Water-In Instructions:
Apply to a dry lawn and water into turf within the first 48 hours with 1/4" of rainfall or irrigation.
