Each sprayer comes with the following:
After each use: thoroughly rinse the system by filling the tank up with 2 gallons of clean water and spraying back into the tank for 60-90 seconds.
Monthly: wipe down the outside tank and plastic lid. Clean the foot suction valve inside the tank.
Yearly: spray the brass and steel quick connects with WD-40 to prevent oxidization/corrosion.
The sprayer should be rinsed and cleaned before storage in a moderate temperature environment. Disconnect the gun from the treating hose to let any residual water drain. If storing for a long period of time, leave the lid off the tank to air dry and bring the battery indoor out of extreme heat or cold. To maximize the battery life, the battery should be drained and charged every 1-2 months during extended periods of no use.
Yes, however, a 1:3 ratio mix is the maximum recommendation. Additionally, when done spraying the bleach mixture, you must thoroughly rinse the backpack sprayer with clean water to avoid unnecessary damage to the pump. Backpack sprayers that are not rinsed after using corrosive materials will void their warranty.
Yes, however the chemical must be mixed thoroughly before putting into the sprayer to avoid clogs. Re-mixing the chemical is required after extended periods of no use by agitating the liquid inside the tank.
